Your photos deserve more than thin paper and a glued spine. Every Remeet book is made with archival-quality materials chosen to look and feel exceptional — and to last for generations.
The cover is the first thing you touch, so it needs to feel substantial. Remeet books use a rigid hardcover board wrapped in natural linen cloth. The texture is warm and tactile — closer to a journal you'd find in a design shop than a standard photo book.
Your book's title is debossed (pressed into the linen) rather than printed on top. This creates a subtle, elegant impression that won't fade, peel, or scratch over time. The debossing is done with a custom die for each book, so the typography matches the editorial style of the interior.
The spine is reinforced for repeated use. Pull this book off the shelf a thousand times — it will hold its shape.
Inside, every page is printed on 200gsm archival-quality stock with a satin finish. Here's what that means in plain terms:
Remeet books use lay-flat binding (also called flush-mount or seamless binding). Unlike standard photo books where pages curve into the spine and the center of each spread disappears, lay-flat pages open completely flat.
This matters because the best photos often span two pages. A panoramic landscape, a group shot, a wide scene from your wedding — with lay-flat binding, nothing gets lost in the gutter. Every spread looks like a single, uninterrupted image.
The binding is stitched, not just glued. This makes it more durable and allows the book to open and close smoothly for years without pages loosening.
Color accuracy matters. A sunset should look like the sunset you remember, not an oversaturated version of it.
We use professional-grade digital printing with full ICC color management. Every print run is calibrated against reference standards so colors are accurate and consistent from the first page to the last. Skin tones look natural. Shadows have detail. Whites are clean.
Resolution is printed at 300 DPI — the same standard used by professional photography labs. Even photos taken on an iPhone look sharp and detailed at full-page size.
| Size | Dimensions | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 10 x 10 inches | Most books. Fits nicely on a coffee table or bookshelf. Our most popular size. |
| Large | 12 x 12 inches | Travel books, wedding books, or any time you want photos to feel immersive. |
| Portrait | 8.5 x 11 inches | Great for family yearbooks or books with more vertical photos. |
All sizes use the same premium materials — hardcover, linen, 200gsm paper, and lay-flat binding. The only difference is the format.
| Feature | Remeet | Typical photo book |
|---|---|---|
| Cover | Linen-wrapped hardcover, debossed title | Printed cardboard or dust jacket |
| Paper weight | 200gsm archival satin | 100-150gsm standard |
| Binding | Lay-flat, stitched | Perfect-bound (curves into spine) |
| Color management | ICC-calibrated, 300 DPI | Standard digital, varies |
| Design | Hand-designed by a person | Self-service templates |
| Longevity | Archival — decades without yellowing | Standard — may yellow in 5-10 years |
We chose every material with one question in mind: will this book still look beautiful in 30 years?
The acid-free paper won't yellow. The linen cover won't crack. The stitched binding won't loosen. The debossed title won't fade. This isn't a book you flip through once and put in a drawer. It's a book your kids will find on your shelf and show to their kids.
That's the whole point.
